HRE Web Portal
Welcome to the HRE Web Portal, a teacher-student resource for Human Rights Education (HRE). The goal of HRE is to ensure that students know their human rights and to enhance their experience of history/social studies through a human rights lens.

The Portal provides access to a vast collection of carefully selected human rights curriculum, action projects, opportunities for service-learning, and professional development materials, forming the backbone of a comprehensive program of human rights education for students of all levels.

We have also created an Educator's Journey guide to walk you through our process for lesson planning using this Portal and its many resources.

Curriculum in the Portal is organized by topic, grade-level, asset type, keywords, CA History-Social Studies Framework and Content Standards. The Directory can be easily searched, filtered and sorted, making it easy for educators to select materials that are relevant and appropriate for their students.
